Eroff is a complete professional typesetting system, ideal for publishing manuals, proposals, research papers and other medium to large size documents. Élan has combined increased functionality and many enhanced features with the standard UNIX markup language, troff, to provide a system that is a complete professional publishing package.

Eroff allows you to bring together graphic images, tables, scientific equations, pictures and plotted graphs into one document that can be printed in portrait or landscape mode on a laser printer for true reproduction-quality documentation. Eroff comes complete with printer drivers for LaserJet and Postscript printers and Élan's extensive documentation.
